So much fun!

This week was filled with fun as we concluded our unit about Myself and Others. Just check it out!

This was our last week of home living. It will be changing to a castle for fairy tale retelling.

In the writing center we learned how to use our ABC Journal.

We spent all week in the art center creating paper dolls that looked like us.

Our 1st step to creating our paper doll was to paint a paper plate with our skin color.

In the science center we had to match baby animals to their mothers.

We labeled body parts in the science center.

We created patterns in math.

We Are Family!

This week we spent some time talking about our families. We discussed how people are alike and different. We enjoyed sharing our family pictures and our favorite family food, game or celebration. For some reason, I do not have any pictures demonstrating this! Oh well! We do have a beautiful bulletin board showing their work. Check some of the other things we did this week. In the math center we put numbers 1-10 in order and counted the correct number of "jewels" for each number. In the writing center we used clothes pins to match upper case to lower case letters or lower case to lower case letters. We could choose. The plates had lower case letters on them.

In the games center we practiced finding shapes by using our sense of touch.

With Mrs. Robinson, we were introduced to the proper way to write numbers. We wrote our very own number book.

Counting to Zero! For snack, we added goldfish to our "bowl" and then ate them one by one until we had zero fish in our "bowl".

With Ms. Johnson, we learned how to shape Play Doh to make the letters in our name.

After lunch, Mrs. Robinson has started reading fairy tales. We love retelling them in the reading center.

In the writing center we could choose to put upper or lower case letters in alphabetical order.

They were so proud! (I was too!)
