We did a wonderful job of guessing our classmates' silhouette. They were displayed in the classroom, each labeled with a number. On a sheet of paper, we had to write the name of the person who we thought it was. We really did a great job! Mrs. Williams and Mrs. Robinson were very impressed!
Later on in the week, Mrs. Williams and Mrs. Robinson added a harder puzzle of the United States for us to put together. Only a few of us could do it. I'm sure we'll get it with more practice!
We each painted an American flag. Next week in math, we have to add 50 star stickers. They're going to look beautiful hanging in our classroom!
This week in the Leappad Literacy Station, we worked on our blends, such as wh, th sh, ar, and er, just to name a few.
To help us learn the coins and their value, we played a fun money game with Mrs. Robinson. She even had us singing our money song!
We played a coin matching game. It was pretty tough! We had to match a head to tail of a coin. We played it like the game Memory.
We learned how to play games using the GEO Safari. (We're still learning how to use these things!) This week we played games learning how to read maps.
We traced, cut out, and labeled American symbols.
We put together a map of the United States and Mrs. Robinson spent time talking to us about the different states and how to read a map.
Reading Robert Munsch Books! He is our author study this month and the students love his kid friendly humor.
