The Dinosaurs Are Back!

The kids had a fun week exploring dinosaurs and raising money for Relay For Life! Each day the kids paid $1 to participate in Relay For Life Spirit Week! Ravenel raised over
$2, 000 this week!
It was a windy, beautiful day for the balloon release.

We released balloons in memory or honor of people effected by cancer. Then we took a lap of silence around the track.

Can you write the missing number?

You can hear the kids singing in the listening center. It's too cute!
We sorted dinosaurs and tallied how many we had. We had to sort the dinosaurs 6 different ways. It was a challenge!

Happy Birthday JC!

We've heard some very interesting conversations in our Mexican Restaurant!

For snack we were herbivores and carnivores. As carnivores we ate chicken legs and matzo balls (for dinosaur eggs).

In art, we painted a dinosaur scene. Next week, we will add characters to our painting.

We were so proud of how well the kids measured the "dinosaur bones" in science.

We compared, predicted, and counted using dinosaur eggs, a human foot, and a dinosaur foot.

Magnetized

This week we had fun discovering magnets. We made predictions and tested to see which magnet would hold the most paper clips.
We discovered that magnets can be attracted to each other through paper and plastic.

We moved a marble using a magnet and created a magnet marble painting.

Artists on the Green!

We enjoyed an arts filled day! We went to several different artist presentations. The school was decorated and turned into an art gallery using a piece of work from each student in the school. A former student of ours from last year created the cover for this year's program. We were so proud of her!

Foothills Dance Conservatory performed Peter and the Wolf, as well as different forms of dance.
