What a wonderful group of kids we have! Our 1st week of school was a blast! We spent most of our time having fun and learning about the rules and procedures of the classroom. 
Each morning we start our day completing our morning centers. This keeps us busy learning while all our friends are arriving to school. 
We spent some time exploring all our centers. We have a total of 10 centers and go to 5 each day. In the science center we measured the volume of containers to see which one held the most rice. 
We did some awesome reading in the reading center.

Building towers in the blocks center was a lot of fun, especially when it was time to knock them down!
On our 1st day of school, we went on a treasure hunt around the school!
We discovered the treasure in our classroom! It was a cup of pudding with M&Ms.

We read a book about how we are all different and then we decorated a cookie! It was neat to see how each of us decorated our cookie in our own “special” way! 
We ended our week by reading “Hedgehog Goes to School” and then we had a visit from Ms. Waltman’s class pet, Fluffy the hedgehog! 
Some of us were a little unsure about Fluffy, so we decided to watch from a distance.
