Snow?

This week we continued our unit of study on winter and explored solids, liquids, and gases. Check out our newest construction!  putting numbered snowflakes in order and writing the numberscounting the buttons on a snowman, writing the number word, color word and the number of buttons We have LOVED the school center in dramatic arts! stamping the beginning, middle and ending sounds How many “ice cubes” (sugar cubes) can you stack? Constructing snowflakes, using various shapes   completing 3 different science experiments, using water   reading big books identifying the middle vowel sound in words sorting pictures by the seasons of the year and drawing a picture to represent each season collecting and analyzing data, using tally marks

We always enjoy our parent volunteers!working on listening skills to construct a snowman   playing Sequence  playing rhyming bingo (It was a long week with no recess!)       Check out our paper sculptures!

Really Catching Up!

We brought in 2013 with a bang.  The kids have been working extra hard, completing some challenging task.

We’ve had fun building with wooden blocks. The fine motor has changed to the listening center!  We’ve started by listening to the songs we sing in class. It’s always wonderful to celebrate birthdays!
