We're Proud to be Americans!

This past week we studied American Symbols and Presidents. We love reading our morning journal responses to the class.

We painted the American flag in art and added 50 stars to it in the math center.

To help us with learning the coins and their value, we pretend to buy items. It has become one of our favorite games in the math center.

This week at Mrs. Robinson's table we created a solider by following directions. We were given different size squares and rectangles and had to cut them to create parts of our solider. We then "built" a sentence about the solider.

We are getting better at building log cabins.

We were lucky to have parent volunteers to teach us how to play GEO Safari.
They really took buying the items very seriously. I had to remind them they were not taking the items home, but it didn't matter!
