Nursery Rhyme Time Part II

On Friday, we celebrated the end of our unit on nursery rhymes. Friday morning we had Nursery Rhyme Field Day and that afternoon we performed songs and recited our nursery rhyme for our parents. Little Bo Beep lost her sheep! We had to look under bowls to find as many as we could.

To Market To Market..We rode bikes and the first team to collect all the shopping bags won.

Twinkle Twinkle Little Star...We decorated 2 stars with glitter.

Jack and Jill Went Up the Hill....We had a relay race to see which team could fill up their bucket first.

BaBa Black Sheep...The person who filled up their sack with the most blocks was the winner.

Humpty Dumpty...We tried to see how many times we could carry the egg from start to finish without dropping it.

This Little Piggy...We used our toes to get as many marbles out of the bucket before time was up!

In the writing center we identified pictures that rhymed.

At Mrs. Robinson's table we had to be great listeners to cut shapes to make a candle.

More or Less? It was a fun math game!

Hickory, Dickory Dock..We used a bagel, chocolate chips, peanut butter, and fruit roll-ups to make a clock.

We enjoyed using "teacher markers" to find the letters M,R,S, & T in nursery rhymes.

Miss Johnson tested us to see what we know about words and letter sounds.

In science, we had to put cups of beans in order from the smallest quantity to the largest.
