Having Some Kindergarten Fun!

We spent most of the week “polishing” up on following procedures, classroom and school-wide rules.  This was our 1st week of completing a teacher-directed task in centers. We did a fabulous job!August 051

In the writing center we played the game, Spin the Letter.  We had to trace the letter the spinner landed on.  We then practice writing our letters. August 052

In the art center, we learned “a dot of glue does a lot!”.  Our favorite part was covering our dots of glue with glitter!   August 053

In the math center we measured different objects, using unifix cubes.  Then we recorded how long each object was.   August 054 August 055We had fun celebrating 2 birthdays!  These girls were born on the same day!   August 056 August 057 August 058

In the game center we learned how to play dominoes!  August 059

In math we also played a shape trace game.  We had to use the spinner to see what shape to trace and then spin to see what color we had to trace with.  It was difficult to follow a 2-step process!
