Spacey

We have had a great week out in space! Building space helmets in the art center.

Measuring rockets in math

matching numbers to number words in the writing center and writing our answers on rockets

We built rockets in the math center using pattern blocks. We had to record the number of times we used a particular pattern block.

After reading the book, How Many Stars in the Sky, we made a class book. We used a star hole punch and put stars in our sky and had to write the sentence I see ____ stars. We used chalk to add details to our picture.

We created planets in the art center and were allowed to use up to 6 space stickers on our space scene. We then had to label each sticker we used.

Legos were introduced in the block center.

We really had some fun and made a big mess in the science center with moon dust (flour).

After writing our number words from 10-0 BLAST OFF, we had fun writing our own story.

This group made 855 tally marks! WOW!!
